PocketDose Privacy Policy

PocketDose: Med Tracker for Android (com.fusera.pocketdose) is published by Fusera. This policy explains how the app uses information on your device and how Fusera handles support correspondence.

Your records stay on your device

You can enter profile names, medication and supplement names, dose amounts, schedules, inventory quantities, taken or skipped records, and notes. PocketDose uses this information locally to show your daily schedule, track supplies and history, and schedule reminders.

The app does not send these records to Fusera or an app server. It does not require an account, request internet access, or include advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting services. Fusera cannot view or recover your medication records.

Storage and protection

Records are saved in the app's private Android storage. Your phone or tablet's screen lock and Android app protections help restrict access. PocketDose has no separate app PIN or independent database encryption. Automatic Android cloud backup and device transfer are disabled. The app does not automatically synchronize with other devices.

Reminders and permissions

PocketDose requests notification permission so it can display reminders. On supported Android versions, optional precise-alarm permission helps reminders arrive at the scheduled time. The app also listens for device restarts and clock changes so it can reschedule your local reminders. Notification permissions, battery restrictions, and device settings can affect delivery.

Reminders can display profile names, schedule names, and dose counts. Their default lock-screen preview hides these details, subject to your Android notification settings. The app does not request access to contacts, location, camera, microphone, body sensors, or Health Connect.

Backups you choose

You may export your records as a readable JSON file using Android's document picker. The export contains every profile and its medication records. You choose where to save it. If you choose a cloud-storage provider or later share the file, that provider or recipient handles the copy under its own practices; PocketDose does not automatically upload it or receive a copy at Fusera.

Importing reads only the backup file you select, validates its contents, and asks before replacing the records on this device. Reminders start turned off after import. Keep exported backups in a private location.

Retention and deletion

Your records remain on your device until you change or delete them. Deleting a person in Settings removes that person's records from the app. Archiving a medicine preserves its history. Android's Clear storage or Uninstall controls remove all app records on the device. These actions do not remove backups you exported; delete those separately from their storage locations. Without an exported backup, deleted or uninstalled records cannot be restored by Fusera.

Google Play and Android

Google Play handles distribution and any purchase through the store. PocketDose does not receive payment-card information. Google and your device platform may process installation, transaction, and platform information under their own policies, separately from this app. Google's privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

Support correspondence

If you email Fusera, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to and manage your request through our email services. Avoid sending medication details unless they are necessary for your question. We retain correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request and meet applicable obligations. You may request deletion of support correspondence at the contact below.

Caregiver profiles

The same local-storage practices apply to every profile, including profiles an adult maintains for a child or another person. PocketDose does not ask for age or date of birth and does not upload profile records.

Policy changes and contact

If our data practices change, Fusera will update this policy, its effective date, and the applicable Play Store disclosures.
